Places

Who am I?

As boring as it sounds, I am a regular software engineer who has a 9 to 5 job. However I try to travel to new places or revisit the old ones as often as possible to keep me sane. I don't think I even have to tell you guys how difficult it is to take holidays when you work in IT. Therefore backpacking is possibly the best option that suits my kind of travel.
Exploring a new place on my own with the maps (no, not the Google one, I am quite an old school in that way), trying new cuisines and drinks, communicating to people without a common language, soaking up a new culture - work like meditation. There's joy in every little discovery, a lesson in every mistake. Somebody rightly said "I haven't been everywhere but it's on my list" and it perfectly suits me. I have been able to explore only a tiny part of the planet, but the journey has just begun and it definitely is going to be long and bumpy (exactly how I like it).
